1. Benji Schwimmer & Heidi Groskreutz at Southport in February
The amazing Benji Schwimmer and Heidi Groskreutz, who both appeared in the finals of the US TV programme So You Think You Can Dance in 2006 , will be making their debut appearance at Jive Addiction's Jiving You Higher weekend in Southport on February 1st - 4th. The event is currently 90% booked and full for single women. If you have yet to book your place, do it soon to avoid missing this rare opportunity to see these to teach and perform together. 2. 2nd Annual UK West Coast Swing Convention in April
It is already one year since the launch of the first ever UK West Coast Swing convention by Jive Addiction and this year aims to be even bigger and better. The event runs an extra day this year and there are new competition categories, including a Classic routine division. Top it all off with two amazing US professional couples, Kyle Redd and Sarah Vann Drake from California along with the return of Robert & Nicola Royston of New York. The convention has also become registered with the World Swing Dance Council, as the first non-US event. Book now as it only happens once a year!
3. Interactive Event Calendars
We have given our website a minor face lift for 2008 with the key addition of interactive event calendars. You can view a calendar from our Events menu. Clicking on an event on the calendar will display additional information. You can also add the events to your own Google calendar. If you know of any missing or incorrect information, please inform us using our Submit Event form. We appreciate your assistance in helping us keep this site up to date.
4. Recommended WCS Music
We have added a Music page under the Media menu for recommended West Coast Swing music. There are direct links for easily previewing/downloading the tracks
with ITunes. Most tracks are available for as little as £0.79 per track. We will be expanding/changing the list periodically, so check back regularly for the latest hits on the West Coast Swing scene. If you have a track that you want to recommend, contact us and tell us about it.
